Roughly 1,530 miles from her home in Sanger, California, Cassie Silveira learned more than a couple of algebraic equations and proper punctuation when she chose Butler. She learned to be a champion – in competition and in life. If the national honors and trophies she earned as a member of the Livestock Judging Team weren’t enough, Cassie also noticed that she was evolving – changing in a powerful way. Standing side by side with her talented teammates, she began to appreciate her family at home as well as her new Butler family. On top of that, Cassie realized that even though modeling and singing might not be the dreams she finally pursues, she’s got the skills now to make a new path to helping the animals she’s always loved.
