Money may be tight for her family, but with personal attention, loads of scholarship opportunities and a cost that doesn’t unbalance her bank account, being a part of the Butler Family was a positive way to change her future. She knew she didn’t want to be just another face in the crowd, so it means a lot that her instructors actually know her name.

When not volunteering or studying, Karla encourages other young people to make a difference and to “cambia tu futuro” – change your future. With her mother’s encouragement and a positive attitude, she refused to let fear hold her back. She’s taking control of her future and learning for a change.
