Winning Miss Pinto of America is big; Winning it while being the main trainer for your horse is nearly unheard of on the circuit. But that’s just what Lauren and Zip, her 16-hand gelding, did to take home the crown – and cowboy hat – during Lauren’s last year at Butler.
Interesting thing, the personality of a show horse is essential to success. Lauren says Zip loved being the center of attention, and confesses she didn’t mind it much either. Perhaps that’s why Lauren enjoyed her time at Butler. She felt like she really mattered to the instructors. They wanted to get to know her and wanted her to be a part of their classroom, not just come and take notes.
She mentioned now that she’s moved on to a larger school, she doesn’t get that sort of attention. That could be what they mean by, “a horse of a different color.”
Power is here. It's revolutionary, unconventional - and personally refreshing. That's the power you experience when you're introduced to the personality of Butler.
